Gizmo is a long coated male referred to as a tervuren in all registries except the AKC, which does not recognize the Belgian Shepherd Dog as one breed with four varieties but as individual breeds. This means that the AKC only recognizes him as a malinois. It is my hope that one day he can be recognized as the correct variety of BSD that he is.
